What is buccal fat pad removal

Buccal fat pad removal is a surgical procedure that reduces the size of the cheeks by removing the buccal fat pads, which are located in the lower part of the cheeks. This procedure helps to create a more contoured and defined facial appearance, often enhancing cheekbones and slimming the face. It is popular among individuals seeking a more sculpted facial profile.

During the procedure

During the procedure, anesthesia is administered for comfort. A small incision is made inside the mouth, near the upper molars. The buccal fat pads are carefully removed through these incisions. The incisions are then closed with sutures. The procedure typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
